The Cow Protection program was established in Carriere Mississippi in 1974.  Since that time, several hundred cows have been given the opportunity to live out a natural life here at our farm.

Our program is a slaughter-free program, which means that when a mother cow is done giving her milk she is released back to the fields.  All calves born here are the first priority and are given all of their mother’s milk that they can drink.  Thankfully, mother cows give more than their calves can drink. We take what is left and make wonderful food with it such as yogurt, butter, ghee, curd, and so many other wonderful milk-based delicacies.

To continue this program of protecting cows we hold a yearly fundraiser called the Cow Festival. This brings in some of the funds needed to care for our cows over the winter and covers any medical bills.  However, after so many years our facility is in need.  Our goal is to raise $250,000 to build a new barn which would be modern and equipped. It would also have an educational area to invite children and adults to come learn more about the glories of our Mother Cow.  With a new building we can take even better care of these majestic animals we call family.  With your help and kind heart, we are sure we can reach this goal and create an even better environment for our cows to live a peaceful and happy life.
